This morning I stopped at 7-11 to get a coffee, as I entered the store, there was a teenage girl at the latte machine. I noticed she had Dr. Suess flannel Jammie pants with “One fish-Two fish” patterns on them. I commented to her, “I just love your pants”, she smiled and said “hey thanks.” I thought …how nice, some teens these days are very impolite to others, she was sweet. I proceeded to get a coffee cup and pour some french vanilla coffee, as I was pouring, a lady was next to me was also. I asked her if they had good coffee here, she said she only drank coffee on the weekends, I thought wow, I can’t go one day without it, what does she have that I don’t?? We chatted about flavored coffee creamers, and she told me she was going on a trip, I thought….how nice. I lidded my coffee and headed for the check out. I told the coffee lady to have a nice day, she smiled and said, “you too!” At the check out the 7-11 lady was chatting with a nice gentleman in a red jacket about how some people don’t put lids on their coffee, I piped in “my father-in-law doesn’t he just uses a ceramic mug, and hovers it above the console” The man smiled and we all had a very nice polite conversation while I swiped my card. As I exited 7-11, exactly 4 minutes after I arrived, I thought….what a pleasant morning this is. As I got into my van, the coffee lady was getting into her car next to me, and I said, “have a safe trip”, she smiled, and so did the teen in Dr. Suess pants, and the man in the red jacket. There were all together in the car. I thought….what a nice family, who knew that 3 nice people were taking a trip today.
